(500) Days of J&T

This is a story of boy meets girl. While our story begins well beyond 500 days we met 3.17.18 our adventure of marriage reached its 500th day and we think that is pretty cool. So let’s recap the last 500 days. Home renovations and improvement (currently in progress). We received extra love and support to pack up the house and put our items in pod storage (thanks Mama Sylv!). Julian celebrated his birthday last month. We had our car Alanis for one year! We got to love and hug on the bestie ahead of a really big interview (we can’t wait to watch it!). We went to Schenectady, NY Julian and his W&J College friends built a firepit. We dressed alike and went to a birthday party. Tia (& friends) hosted a baby shower for the bestie. We went axe throwing on a group date. Julian met London Fletcher at Washington Commanders event. We shared Easter dinner with Mama and Baba Julian. We finally ate our wedding cake we saved (in March). Tia made biscuits from scratch for the first time and then turned them into strawberry shortcake (yummy). Baba Tia required extra love and attention. We went to work holiday parties. Tia went to see Burna Boy. Tia turned 40!!! We did a yoga and live music experience (visit Prism Saunas and Sound if you are in Richmond, VA). We babysat. We dog sat. We painted pumpkins. Hosted taco Tuesday. Julian played drums. We went to a comedy show. Tia went to Usher Residency in Vegas with her best girls. We went to Italy. People (no names will be exposed) played Spades in Italy. We went to Tanzania. Julian went to LakeHouse (twice). We partied on a rooftop. We celebrated Godparents 60 years of marriage. Julian started a new job. Long walks, dog parks and adventures with Dex (& Ace). Family visited. Injuries. Sickness and wellness. Dinner parties. Date nights. New restaurants and recipes. Bachelorette parties. Bachelor parties. Bridal Showers. Weddings. Baby Showers. Honeymoon. Wedding.

What an amazing 500 days we have had. Thank you Julian, my partner, my love for being my best friend and an amazing human to journey through life.

I appreciate you Tia for always thinking of me when you bring me new cheesecakes to try! As well as always being my built in partner for all our new adventures. One quote comes to mind as I reflect on our marriage, “Love is the easiest thing in the world when you find it on accident, but it doesn’t get real until you do it on purpose.” from Netflix's Entergalactic. What I have learned is that everyday we have to choose to be there for each other.

Cheers to another 500 days + forever.
